The Edmond North High School Marching Band placed 11th overall in an extremely competitive Oklahoma Bandmasters Association (OBA) Class 6A State Championships tournament in Broken Arrow on Oct. 30, 2021.

The band’s “Wheels of Joy” marching show featured songs that represent the theme of joy such as “Ode to Joy,” “Noisy Wheels of Joy” and “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen.

Of the 19 bands competing on Saturday, only 12 would advance to compete in finals.  After their final performance, Edmond North was awarded 11th place with a total score of 79.35, which included scores Music Performance, Visual Performance, and General Effect.  Stiff competition led to only 4.7 points separating the last six band placements. Notably, 6 of the 12 OBA finalist bands have recently been named finalists at Bands of America Super Regional Competitions. So, the ENHS Band competed VERY well against some of the best bands in the nation!  Please congratulate the ENHS Marching Band on a job well done!
