Middleton, Pennsylvania. After buying a ticket online and choosing the Power Play option, a Pennsylvania Lottery player in Berks County won $150,000 in Saturday’s Powerball drawing, lottery officials said Monday.
Together with the red Powerball 25, the winning ticket matched four of the five white balls that were drawn: 4, 6, 9, 23, and 59. The $1 Power Play option and the 3x multiplier selected that evening tripled the ticket’s $50,000 base prize.
The drawing from June 14 won the prize. Following the processing of claims, online winnings are automatically credited to the player’s account. Until the ticket is officially validated, the winner’s identity has not been revealed.
The ticket would have only been worth one-third of the total reward if Power Play hadn’t been used.
More than 25,800 prizes awarded in same drawing
In the same drawing, over 25,800 additional Pennsylvania Lottery players—including 2,600 who used Double Play and over 5,100 who added Power Play—won rewards. After the drawing date, all Powerball rewards must be claimed within a year.
