19-year-old shot walking in Baltimore

Baltimore, Maryland. According to Baltimore Police, a 19-year-old man is recuperating from a gunshot wound he sustained Saturday afternoon while out for a walk in the Northwest District of the city.

Patrol officers were alerted about a walk-in shooting victim at around 5:22 p.m. on June 21 and arrived at a nearby hospital. They found the teenager with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound when they arrived.

According to the results of an initial investigation, the victim was shot while out on a stroll in the 3800 block of Belle Avenue. The reason and identity of the suspect are still unknown.

No one has been arrested, and the victim’s identity has not been made public.

Investigators are looking for leads in the Belle Avenue shooting.

Detectives from the Northwest District are in charge of the investigation and are requesting assistance from the public in identifying the shooter.
