It’s Saturday night, you are on your bed with 13 pimple patches scrolling through TikTok or Instagram, wanting the $100 serum that your favorite skin care influencer is telling you to buy and hoping it will solve all of your skincare problems.

My fellow Huskies, I have been there.

We all want healthy, clear and glowing skin, but the fact remains that some of us have only 27 dollars in our bank account. If you don’t have a lot of money, and you want to up your skincare game, then you should check out these teenage-friendly and affordable skin care products!

Use: For my dry skin people! This is an effective moisturizer and something to keep your skin smooth. Not only is this product recommended by dermatologists, but it’s also cheaper than every other over -the-counter moisturizer. For our sensitive skin buddies, this is an amazing option.

Elf Skin Sunscreen

Elf Skin Sunscreen

Cost: $14

Quality: 6/10

Use: Everyone needs sunscreen, and that has been more prominent during these past few years. Sun UV rays can cause a lot of damage to your skin, so sunscreen is a must. Elf has got your skin covered. The Elf sunscreen protects you from those pesky UV rays and keeps your skin healthy and glowing.

Silk Pillowcase

Silk Pillowcase

Cost: $7-16

Quality: 9/10

Use: The use of a good silk pillowcase has one crucial benefit: it keeps your dry or itchy skin smooth by not absorbing moisture out of your skin. When you do your nightly routine, you don’t want all that hard work absorbed in some cheap cotton cloth. This is a long term investment for your skin and you will be grateful for it.

Skincare is not a quick fix for most. However, it isn’t reasonable to expect people to shell out hundreds of dollars for quality products. Hopefully this list provides you with a good baseline or even just a quick list of recommendations. What are your favorite skin care products? Let us know in the comments!
