Noem, a man from Texas was arrested for making terroristic threats against ICE officers

The Dallas Homeland Security Investigations arm said Wednesday that a man from Texas was arrested for “making terroristic threats” against ICE officers and Kristi Noem, the secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The agency said in a post on the social site X that the threats were carried out by U.S. citizen Robert King, who was arrested in McKinney, Texas.

The group said in a post with a picture of a man in handcuffs and several police whose faces were blurred, “King’s scary social media posts included threats to ‘open fire’ if agents are seen in his neighborhood.”

Not long ago, Noem replied to another online post about the Trump administration and ICE’s work to remove immigrants across the country. Now, she has been arrested.

Noem wrote on X on Sunday, “If you threaten or try to hurt a police officer, we will find you and prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law.”

Someone else on social media told his followers to use “self-defense” as an excuse to shoot at ICE agents who show up in neighborhoods in unmarked cars. The TikTok video was taken down after a while.

There have been threats and suggestions to shoot at ICE officers, especially those who aren’t wearing a uniform. This comes after several students who were protesting for the Palestinian cause were arrested.

Rumeysa Ozturk, a Ph.D. student at Tufts University and a citizen of Turkey, was arrested by federal police in plain clothes and taken away in an unmarked van. People were angry because she was in the U.S. on a visa and the security video from the scene didn’t make it clear who the agents were.

It’s the latest move by the Trump government to deport more people across the country.

A DHS representative told The Hill that Noem’s post was still true.

This person said, “Like Secretary Noem said: If you threaten or try to hurt a police officer, we will find you and prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law.” “I kept the promises I made.”

There was a call from The Hill to ICE to find out more.
