Police in Florida say a man killed his girlfriend and set up the murder scene while their kids slept

A man from Florida was arrested for killing his girlfriend. Deputies say he shot and killed her while their three children were in bed with her. He then lied about the crime and said it was an invasion of their home.

They put out a video of the arrest of 32-year-old Saun Rainge Jr., who was charged with killing his lover, Porshe Nikita Shanee Streeter, who was 30 years old, in January 2024.

According to arrest reports, another guy, 26-year-old Benjamin Garmon, was also arrested as a helper in the murder and is being held in the Seminole County Jail.

Police say Streeter was shot several times while she slept in bed with her three kids on January 23, 2024. The children were 10, 2, and 1 years old. Deputies said that none of them were hurt in the shooting.

In a post on X, the sheriff’s office said, “Thank goodness, none of the children were hurt.”

FOX 35 reported that deputies were called to Streeter’s apartment because of a shooting. Streeter stayed there with her three children, and Rainge would sometimes stay there.

Sources told FOX 35 that when police got at the apartment, they found Streeter and Rainge with gunshot wounds.

Officials said Streeter was declared dead at home, and Rainge was taken to the hospital with an arm wound from a gun.

Rainge told the police that he went to the apartment to check on his family but that someone had shot them.

An arrest statement says Streeter was shot 10 times. Rainge is said to have left her dead body for hours while he got Garmon to help him prove his story.

The two planned for Garmon to shoot Rainge in the arm so that the murder would look like a home attack. They then called 911 for help.

“Rainge, the father of those children, enlisted Garmon to shoot and kill Porshe and claimed it was a home invasion,” police said. “Rainge’s story didn’t right true for our homicide detectives, who have worked tirelessly on this case for more than a year to secure justice for Porshe.”

FOX 35 got a copy of the arrest document that talked about the couple’s “toxic” relationship and mentioned reports of domestic violence and cheating. Friends’ statements and photos also backed up stories that there were problems in the relationship.

For FOX 35, the police said they think Rainge shot Streeter because she wouldn’t give him full control of the kids and was hiding money from him.
