Man fatally stabbed near Livonia Avenue in East New York

BROOKLYN, N.Y. The NYPD reports that a 33-year-old man died on Saturday after being stabbed in the torso in East New York.

Around 3:29 p.m., police responded to a 911 call. stating that a man was stabbed close to the 75th Precinct’s Livonia Avenue and Cleveland Street intersection. Officers discovered the victim had been stabbed in the torso.

The individual was taken by emergency medical professionals to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he was declared deceased. Until family members are notified, his identity is being kept secret.

As of Sunday morning, no suspects had been apprehended, and the circumstances surrounding the stabbing are still unknown.

A fatal stabbing in East New York is being investigated.

Over the course of the evening, detectives searched the area for witnesses and looked over video footage from surrounding residences and commercial establishments. Police have not revealed whether there was a quarrel involved in the incident or any possible motives.

As the investigation goes on, the NYPD is asking anyone with knowledge on the crime to get in touch with the police.

In the East New York region, which has experienced several violent occurrences in recent months, this is the most recent fatal stabbing.
