New Jersey’s West New York.According to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, a 20-year-old man was taken into custody on Friday after reportedly groping a 12-year-old girl close to a busy intersection in West New York.
West New York resident Victor ConsiguaSaloj faces charges of second-degree sexual assault by contact and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child. After his arrest, he was sent to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, according to the authorities, where he is currently awaiting his initial court appearance.
West New York Police responded to a report of a little child being groped by an unidentified person in the vicinity of Bergenline Avenue and 58th Street shortly after 6 p.m. When officers got on the scene, they spoke with a witness, the victim, and her guardian.
ConsiguaSaloj was brought into arrest right away when the witness positively recognized the perpetrator at the scene, according to officials. He was later officially charged by the Special Victims Unit of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the prosecutor’s office, the West New York Police Department was alerted that an unidentified male had grabbed a 12-year-old girl.
