Brooklyn, New York.According to authorities, a New York City Housing Authority employee was taken into custody on Friday night and accused of assault.
According to police records, Sergey Trotsky, 50, was arrested at approximately 7:50 p.m. within the boundaries of the 75th Precinct in East New York, Brooklyn. At the time of the arrest, Trotsky was classified as a NYCHA employee who was on duty.
The incident that resulted in the assault accusation was not immediately made public. Authorities did not specify whether the alleged assault took place on or off NYCHA property, but they did state that the charge is the outcome of an ongoing investigation.
According to the NYPD’s incident record from Friday night, the person was taken into custody at 1950 hours and charged with assault.
It was unclear at first what Trotsky’s position with NYCHA was after the arrest. Whether he has been placed on administrative leave or suspended has not been disclosed by the agency.
