Queens, New York.A man who allegedly tried to rape a 26-year-old woman early Friday morning and then ran away into the Woodhaven Boulevard subway station is being sought by police.
According to the NYPD, the incident happened at approximately 4:30 a.m. close to the intersection of Woodhaven Boulevard and Hoffman Drive. An unnamed male allegedly tried to sexually assault the woman before fleeing on foot in the direction of the metro, according to the authorities.
The suspect is still at large. The inquiry is still underway, and no one has been taken into custody.
The person is reported as being around 6 feet tall, weighing about 175 pounds, and having a dark complexion. It is estimated that he is in his 20s or 30s.
According to a police statement, he was last seen sporting camouflage pants, a black jacket, a medical mask, and blue headphones.
As the investigation proceeds, NYPD is asking the public for tips.
