The city of Philadelphia According to police, a lady who was shot Tuesday night in North Philadelphia is in critical condition.
At at 6:16 p.m. on June 18, 9th District officers were called to the 800 block of Watts Street in response to reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they discovered an adult female who had been shot in the head.
Police took the woman to Jefferson Hospital, where she is now in critical condition.
The woman’s age and identity have not been revealed by authorities. The reason for the shooting is still unknown, and no one has been taken into custody.
Investigation underway by Shooting Investigation Group
The matter is being handled by the Shooting Investigation Group of the Philadelphia Police Department. Officers searched the area for possible witnesses and evidence.
Whether the woman was targeted or whether the shooting was unintentional or random has not been established by the police. Whether surveillance footage was collected from the location is yet unknown.
