Queens, New York. According to authorities, a group assault outside a Roosevelt Avenue business in Jackson Heights early in the morning gravely injured a 36-year-old male.
The event happened in front of 76-07 Roosevelt Avenue on Saturday, June 7, at approximately 4:00 a.m. The victim got into a verbal altercation with five unnamed people, which swiftly turned violent, according to the police.
The victim was surrounded by the mob, who continuously kicked and punched him. According to authorities, two suspects repeatedly struck the woman with a wooden stick, and one suspect threatened her verbally while brandishing a knife.
The victim’s head and lower back were seriously injured. After EMS arrived on the scene, he was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Elmhurst, where his condition was described as stable.
Group fled on foot toward 37th Avenue
According to the NYPD, the perpetrators left the area on foot and went north on 78th Street toward 37th Avenue.
The culprits are still unknown, and no one has been taken into custody. Police have not verified whether CCTV footage is accessible or what caused the first argument.
