Check Your Tickets: Winning $1,000 for Week Lottery Ticket Sold in Lanham

LANHAM, Maryland.Officials said Wednesday that a lucky Maryland Lottery player who bought a second-tier winning ticket in the multistate Cash4Life game will get $1,000 every week for the rest of their life.

The winning ticket matched the first five numbers in the June 18 drawing: 17, 26, 30, 47, and 57. It was purchased at Wegmans, which is situated at 9001 McHugh Drive in Lanham. The Cash Ball number that did not match was 4. This qualifies the winner for the second-tier reward in the game.

The winner can choose between a one-time cash payment of $1 million, before taxes, or $1,000 per week for the rest of their life, paid in $52,000 annual installments. The winner hasn’t yet come forward to accept the award.

The Maryland Lottery will give Wegmans, the Prince George’s County supermarket that sold the winning ticket, a $2,500 prize.

First second-tier Cash4Life win in Maryland this year

Since Cash4Life’s 2016 introduction in Maryland, this is the state’s twelfth Cash4Life prize claim and the first second-tier Cash4Life winner in 2025. On December 31, the final second-tier winner was announced.

Winners are reminded by lottery authorities to sign the back of their tickets and keep them in a secure location. Within 182 days following the drawing, winners of prizes exceeding $25,000 must claim them through the Lottery’s Baltimore offices.

After matching five numbers in the most recent Cash4Life drawing, a Lanham lottery player won $1,000 every week for the rest of their life.
