The city of Philadelphia According to Philadelphia police, a shooting occurred late Saturday night on the 1200 block of West Huntingdon Street, seriously injuring a man.
At at 11:13 p.m. on June 14, officers from the 22nd District arrived on the site after being notified that a male with a gun had been shot on the roadway.
Officers found a man victim with multiple upper body gunshot wounds when they arrived. The victim was taken by police right away to Temple University Hospital, where he was declared critically ill.
The victim’s identity has not been made public by authorities, and no one has been taken into custody in relation to the incident. At this point in the inquiry, no suspects have been named, and the motive is still unknown.
The department’s Shooting Investigation Group (SIG) has secured the area and is holding it for additional investigation.
The victim is still in the hospital while police continue their investigation.
Detectives are searching the area for security footage and gathering evidence. Information on possible witnesses or leads has not been supplied by officials.
