BIBB COUNTY, AL — A harrowing investigation by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has led to the arrest of three men accused of unspeakable crimes, including rape, sodomy, human trafficking, and kidnapping of children under the age of 12. The alleged abuse occurred in an underground bunker near Aaron Drive in Brent, Alabama.
The investigation began on February 4 after authorities received a report of possible child abuse linked to the remote bunker location. According to court documents, the crimes are believed to have taken place between January 2024 and early 2025, involving at least five young children.
The suspects are —
- William McElroy,
- Dalton Terrell, and
- Andres Velazquez-Trejo
They face multiple felony charges. McElroy is accused of admitting to inappropriate conduct with a child, while Terrell reportedly confessed to unlawful sexual activity during an interview with investigators. Velazquez-Trejo is alleged to have distributed explicit images and helped facilitate contact between the victims and others.
Local resident Annie Bell reacted to the disturbing news, stating, “Keep the kids in safety. They need to be put away and stop all that violence going on with the little bitty kids. You never know what they might do to kids these days.”
Despite the arrests, several crucial details remain unclear — including how the children were lured, whether others may be involved, and the full scope of the abuse.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Sheriff Jody Wade was unavailable for comment as he was currently out of the county. All three suspects are being held without bond at the Bibb County Jail as the investigation continues.
