KEY WEST, FL — A 28-year-old man has been arrested in Key West on disturbing charges involving child sexual abuse material and sexual acts with animals, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).
Jorge Tyler Perez was taken into custody on Friday and is facing one count of possession of child sexual abuse material and 14 counts of sexual activities involving animals.
The arrest stems from a November 2024 tip received by FDLE from the National Center for Missing and Endangered Children, which alerted investigators to a Snapchat account uploading child sexual abuse content. Authorities later confirmed the account belonged to Perez.
Further investigation revealed Perez had also uploaded videos involving bestiality, the arrest report said.
A search warrant was executed on Friday, during which investigators seized an electronic device believed to contain the illicit content. Perez was arrested and booked into the Monroe County Jail.
The Key West Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations assisted with the investigation. The case remains under active investigation, and additional charges may follow.
