Abilene Parole Officer Arrested, Accused of Forcing Multiple Victims into Prostitution

In Abilene, a parole officer was arrested and charged with trafficking people after reportedly forcing several people into prostitution.

Because of the charges, Symone Danielle Miller was put into the Taylor County Jail on Tuesday for Trafficking of Persons under 18 (forced labor) and Trafficking of Person.

According to court papers, Miller is accused of trafficking by forcing two women to work as prostitutes in Tom Green County in March 2021.

The papers say that Miller beat up and threatened to beat up the other victim and also “made this person so drunk without her permission that it made it harder for her to understand what was going on or stop herself from doing anything,” one of the victims was under the age of 18.

Miller is still working as a parole officer, but the Texas Department of Criminal Justice said he has been stopped until the charges against him are decided. No one knows if Miller’s job as a Parole Officer had anything to do with the charges that led to her arrest.

Miller was freed from the Taylor County Jail after paying $250,000 in bonds.
