LEESBURG, FL — Shoppers in Leesburg will soon have a new option for affordable groceries, as ALDI is set to open a new store at Lake Harris Square on Tuesday, August 13.
The store will take over part of the former Winn-Dixie location, which has undergone extensive remodeling. The new compact ALDI store will occupy about half the space of the original supermarket.
This marks the second Winn-Dixie in the area to be converted into an ALDI. The first, located at Lake Sumter Landing in The Villages, officially reopened as an ALDI on July 10.
“We’re thrilled to open our doors and offer your community a new grocery store focused on quality and savings,” the company said in a statement announcing the grand opening.
Customers can expect everyday low prices on groceries and essentials, including fresh produce, organic foods, meats, seafood, and ALDI-exclusive brands that promise national-brand quality at lower prices.
Founded in Germany in 1946, ALDI has become a global name in affordable grocery shopping. The company now operates more than 2,560 stores across the U.S., with 264 locations in Florida alone.
The Leesburg community can look forward to a cost-conscious, streamlined shopping experience when the doors officially open next month.
