Bowie woman arrested with stolen vehicle in Laurel

Laurel, M.D. Authorities said that a stolen car was found in the Laurel neighborhood on Saturday night, leading to the arrest of a Bowie woman.

Officers on patrol along Laurel Ft. Meade Road were notified of a verified stolen car in the vicinity on June 14 at around 10:20 p.m. The car was promptly found by officers in the 3500 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road.

The driver, 32-year-old Kristen Renay Pugh, got out of the car and was arrested without any problems. Charges were later brought against her in relation to the stolen car.

The facts surrounding the vehicle’s discovery and how it was reported stolen were not disclosed by the police.

According to the police, the driver got out of the car, was taken into custody without incident, and was charged appropriately.

While the investigation is ongoing, the suspect faces charges.

It is anticipated that Pugh, a Bowie, Maryland resident, will be charged with possession of the stolen car. Whether any more charges are still pending has not been revealed by officials.
