Disability Benefits From Ssdi Worth Up to $4,018 Will Be Sent to You in a Few Days This is Where You Can Find Your Date

Payments for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) are made every month on three exact dates: the second, third, and fourth Wednesdays of each month. These dates are different for each recipient based on their birthday. On April 9, 16, and 23, 2025, those Wednesdays will be the appropriate ones.

If you were born between April 1 and April 10, you will get an April 9 check. The payment for this group comes in the second week of the month. Any person who started getting SSDI after May 1997 will automatically be on this plan, unless they also get Supplemental Security Income (SSI), which is paid on April 1.

People who will be getting SSDI on April 3rd and 4th

People born on April 16 who were born between April 11 and April 20 will get their money. This date is the same as the third Wednesday of every month. Deposits are made straight into bank accounts or on prepaid debit cards issued by the Treasury Department. There are no other delays, even on weekends or federal holidays.

People born in any month between the 21st and 31st will get their SSDI on April 23rd. This is the last day to pay each month. If a person asked Social Security to change their payment date, they could get money on April 3. This also goes for people who get SSI or who claimed benefits before 1997.

The most a person can get for handicap in April 2025

For April 2025 payouts, the most that SSDI can pay out is $4,018 a month. This amount is 2.5% more than it was in 2024 because of the cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) that was stated for 2025. Based on their past earnings, disabled workers who would have received the maximum benefit at full retirement age (currently 67) would likely be covered by this limit. But most recipients get less. Based on historical data, they will get an average of about $1,537 per month in 2024. This amount is projected to rise proportionally by 2025.

The highest number, $4,018 is only given in rare cases, like when a worker has had a maximum taxable income for at least 35 years. Families can get up to 150% of the disabled worker’s benefit, or 85% of their benefit, based on how many eligible dependents they have, like children or spouses.

If you expect to get paid on a certain date and don’t, the SSA says to wait at least three work days to see if there are any banking problems that could be the reason for the delay. This is how you should handle the problem after that time: first call your bank, then call the SSA or go to the office closest to you.
