New York’s Bronx. According to police, a suspect posing as a gunman robbed a 67-year-old man at the Morris Park subway station early on Monday morning and threatened to shoot him.
The event happened on the southbound 5 train platform at the station close to Paulding Avenue and Esplanade at around 1:12 a.m. on June 16. An anonymous person approached the victim, mimicking a gun beneath his shirt, and demanded the man’s possessions.
If the victim would not comply, the suspect threatened to shoot him. The guy left the station on foot after the victim gave him his bank card and $20 in cash.
Police said there were no reported injuries.
Police seeking suspect who fled station after robbery
The suspect is described as a man who weighs 165 pounds and is about 5 feet 6 inches tall. When last seen, he was dressed in black trousers, black sneakers, and a black shirt with a white logo.
The event is still being looked at by the NYPD. As of right now, no one has been arrested, and no CCTV footage has been made public.
