Fire in a San Jose Fourplex Forced 7 People to Leave Their Homes and Saved 3 Pets

The San Jose Fire Department (SJFD) said that seven people had to leave their homes after a fire broke out at a three-story fourplex on Sunday night. At 7:20 p.m., firefighters were called to a home in the 800 block of E Julian St. SJFD said that two dogs and a cat were saved from the fire. There were no reports of accidents. The Red Cross was sent to the scene to help the people who had to leave their homes.

There was smoke and fire damage to one of the rooms. The smoke hurt the other three. They said that because of the fire, workers turned off the building’s utilities.

By 8:50 p.m. on Sunday, the fire was out, according to SJPD.
