Four individuals were arrested following a firearms-related investigation led by the Indiana Crime Guns Task Force on the northwest side of Indianapolis, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD).
The arrests stem from an incident on July 17 near the 4600 block of Moller Road, where investigators reportedly saw 22-year-old Winston Pearson carrying a black handgun in his waistband. Authorities allege Pearson, who was recently released from prison, was threatening individuals with violence.
Pearson was seen entering a vehicle with three other individuals: 26-year-old Ameer Davis, 25-year-old Anthony Sandifer, and 23-year-old Jonathan Helm. As officers attempted to contain the vehicle, Sandifer, the driver, fled the scene, prompting a brief police pursuit.
The vehicle was eventually stopped, and all four suspects were taken into custody. IMPD stated that officers recovered three handguns and approximately 30 grams of marijuana during the operation.
