QUEENS, N.Y. — A 29-year-old man was shot Tuesday evening in front of a storefront on Sutphin Boulevard in Queens, police said.
According to the NYPD, the shooting occurred at approximately 7 p.m. near 121-02 Sutphin Boulevard. An unidentified individual discharged a firearm, striking the victim in the right leg.
The victim was transported by private means to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was reported to be in stable condition. Authorities have not released his identity.
Following the shooting, the suspect fled the scene on foot, heading southbound on Sutphin Boulevard. No arrests have been made, and the suspect remains at large.
Investigation continues as police search for shooter
Police have not yet disclosed a possible motive or any description of the suspect involved. The investigation remains active as detectives continue to gather evidence and review surveillance footage from the area.
