The city of Philadelphia A man with a gunshot wound was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center early on Sunday morning, and police are looking into the incident.
Officers from the 35th District arrived at the hospital in the 5500 block of Old York Road at around 3:20 a.m. after being notified that a person had been shot, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.
Officers arrived to find a male adult in the emergency department being treated for a left shoulder gunshot wound. The victim declined to give investigators any information regarding the location or manner of the shooting and was uncooperative.
The reason for the shooting is still a mystery. The victim’s identification and any details about potential suspects have not been made public by the police.
The probe has been transferred to the Special Investigations Group (SIG) and is still going on.
Investigation is hampered by the victim’s refusal to cooperate.
Authorities verified that a private vehicle took the victim to the hospital. As of Sunday morning, no crime scene has been found, and no witnesses have come forward.
Detectives are analyzing any accessible surveillance footage from the area in an effort to obtain more information while they investigate the circumstances surrounding the occurrence.
