New York’s Bronx.Police are looking for the unidentified shooter who shot a 41-year-old man in the torso late Monday morning in the Bronx.
According to the NYPD, the incident happened in front of 3320 Boston Road at around 11:30 a.m. According to authorities, an unidentified person fired a gun, hit the victim once in the torso, and then ran away.
The injured individual was sent to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi by Emergency Medical Services. According to the police, as of Monday afternoon, his status was reported as stable.
On foot, the suspect ran north on Boston Road. 47th Precinct officers are conducting an investigation and searching the neighborhood for security footage and witnesses.
The shooter in the Bronx incident is still at large.
The culprit has not been described by the police, and no one has been taken into custody.
Investigators have not disclosed if the victim and suspect knew one another, and the motivation behind the shooting is still unknown.
While police collected evidence and spoke with bystanders, the area around the crime site was temporarily restricted.
