NEW YORK According to investigators, a 58-year-old man with back trauma was discovered dead inside a Bronx residence on Monday morning.
At at 10:30 a.m., 48th Precinct officers were called to 911 by a male assistant at 915 Elsmere Place. When police arrived, they found the man inside the house, unconscious and unresponsive.
The individual was declared dead at the site by Emergency Medical Services. Although no additional information regarding the type of injuries was disclosed, authorities stated that the male showed indications of back trauma.
According to authorities, the deceased’s identity is being kept secret until the family is notified.

To ascertain the cause and manner of death, an autopsy will be performed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The inquiry is still ongoing, according to the police.
As of Monday afternoon, authorities have not stated whether foul play is suspected in the incident and no arrests have been made.
