Shoppers across the Sunshine State had reason to celebrate this past Saturday as Publix opened the doors to two brand-new locations — one in Port St. Lucie and the other in Bradenton — bringing expanded services and unique community festivities to local residents.
In Port St. Lucie, the new store at 12407 SW Community Blvd. welcomed customers starting at 7 a.m. The 48,000-square-foot location features both indoor and outdoor seating areas, along with an upstairs space. Shoppers were also treated to a special sight — the company’s large, motorized Publix shopping cart cruised through the community in celebration of the grand opening, drawing smiles and plenty of attention.
On Florida’s west coast, Publix simultaneously opened its newest Bradenton store in the Bayshore Gardens Shopping Center at 6030 14th Street W. Spanning approximately 55,000 square feet, the store includes a drive-thru pharmacy, adding extra convenience for customers in the area.
The openings were just the beginning of the company’s celebratory rollout. Publix officials announced that throughout the upcoming month, customers across Florida will be treated to free samples at stores statewide. Each department will feature a different sample, including:
- Bakery: Iced Cinnamon Swirl Cake
- Deli: Korean-Style Noodle Salad
- Grocery: Lactose-Free Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Ice Cream and Peanut Butter & Fudge Cookies
- Meat: Italian-Style Marinated Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast Cutlets
- Produce: Sweet Heat Summer Fruit Salad
The initiative aims to engage customers with new flavors and seasonal favorites as Publix continues expanding its footprint in Florida.
