Phoenix, AZ — After a cloudy start to the day and a few light sprinkles across the Valley, skies cleared Monday afternoon, setting the stage for a warm and relatively calm evening. But weather changes are on the horizon as more moisture pushes into southern Arizona overnight.
Tonight: Chance of Isolated Storms
A few isolated showers and thunderstorms could move into the Valley from the south this evening, though the overall chance for rain remains low. Most areas will stay dry overnight with temperatures dipping to the mid-80s under mostly cloudy skies.
Tuesday: Morning Showers, Sunny Afternoon
Moisture arriving late tonight will bring a chance of scattered showers starting around 5 AM Tuesday, impacting many parts of the Valley during the early commute. These rain chances are expected to taper off by 8 or 9 AM, making way for partly cloudy skies and a sunny afternoon with highs near 100°F.
By Tuesday evening, eastern Arizona will see most of the remaining storm activity, though a stray shower could still reach western Maricopa County.
Midweek Through Weekend: Dry and Sunny
Drier air moves in by Wednesday, ushering in a stretch of sunny and stable weather through the weekend. Highs will hover around seasonal norms, with clear skies and dry conditions expected statewide.
Residents are encouraged to stay weather-aware during the Tuesday morning hours but can look forward to a return to classic Arizona sunshine by midweek.
