ShotSpotter sparks hunt after Baltimore man blasted in the leg

Baltimore, Maryland.Following a ShotSpotter alarm that sent officers to several places, police reported that a 42-year-old male was shot early Sunday morning in Baltimore’s Eastern District.

Following a ShotSpotter alert, officers arrived at the 2400 block of Sherwood Avenue at around 12:10 a.m. There was no victim at the location when they arrived, but there was signs of a shooting.

Officers were called to the 2300 block of Harford Road shortly after, where they discovered a male with a leg gunshot wound. For treatment, he was taken to a nearby hospital. It is thought that his injuries is not life-threatening.

No suspicious information has been made public, and the relationship between the two places is still being investigated.
