Six suspects sought in group assault and robbery in Flushing

Queens, New York. Six people are being sought by police for allegedly robbing and assaulting a man on a Flushing street last month, causing face injuries.

Around 5:50 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, the incident happened close to 143-46 37th Avenue. A 27-year-old man was strolling around when two unidentified men came up behind him and started striking him repeatedly in the face, head, and right eye, causing him to collapse to the ground, according to the police.

After thereafter, four more male suspects joined in, hitting the victim with an umbrella and injuring his right eye, according to the police. After that, the group stole the victim’s wallet—which included a credit card and about $100—by force.

Hospitalized victim

After escaping the scene, the victim drove himself to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where he received treatment and was given a stable condition rating.

The six suspects all walked away from the area in an unidentified direction. The inquiry is still underway, and no one has been taken into custody.
