Two Stafford County runaways found intoxicated after stealing BuzzBallz

Stafford, Virginia. According to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, two young people who were reported missing were found hours later drunk and charged with stealing alcoholic beverages.

Deputy R.H. Ryan responded to a runaway report on Rock Hill Church Road on June 13 at approximately 5:40 p.m. Two male minors had left the house after getting agitated over house rules, according to the complainant. After entering the two into the system as fugitives, Deputy Ryan carried on with his patrol.

After receiving a report of two inebriated youths, Deputy Ryan was called to the Dollar Tree located at 1115 Garrisonville Road at around 9:24 p.m. When Deputy Ryan arrived, he recognized the young people as the same ones who had been reported missing earlier in his shift.

The two acknowledged that they had stolen the Neighborhood Walmart’s 14 BuzzBallz, a pre-mixed alcoholic beverage. Both were sent to a neighboring hospital for assessment due to their degree of drunkenness. They allegedly behaved disruptively and yelled obscenities at one another while they were in the hospital.

Multiple charges are brought against juveniles.

The adolescents were charged with larceny, public intoxication, and using abusive language after receiving medical clearance. Both were released to a responsible guardian after Juvenile Intake declined detention.

Because of their age, the youngsters’ names have not been made public by the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.
