Utica police investigate early morning gunfire on Green and City streets

UTICA, N.Y. Following two Shots Spotter warnings indicating gunfire in the city, Utica police are looking into a shooting incident that happened early Monday morning.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 1100 blocks of Green Street and City Street at around 2:28 a.m. on June 16. Police found a number of spent gunshot casings on Green Street when they arrived.

Officers also found a bullet projectile stuck in a second-story window of a house on the 100 block of City Street during the course of the investigation. No injuries associated with the incident have been recorded by authorities.

The shooting is still being looked into by the Utica Police Department. At this point, no suspicions have been made public and no arrests have been made.
