Washington, D.C.Police are now requesting the public’s assistance in identifying several individuals who were seen on camera after a lady was robbed and raped at gunpoint in the staircase of an apartment complex in Southeast Washington, DC, earlier this month.
The event happened in the 2400 block of Elvans Road SE on Sunday, June 8, at approximately 1:26 a.m. A gang of suspects followed the woman as she entered the apartment building. The group attacked her in the stairway, committed the armed robbery, and then fled on foot.
The suspects were seen on camera close to the location. The video is now available for public viewing at: https://youtu.be/97VCAg24MKs.
Police are trying to identify the people involved and find out where they are as part of the ongoing investigation.
