Everyone knows that prom is expensive, especially dinner, but we can work to cut the price where possible. Food can be cheap while tasting expensive: the recommendations I’ve collected below can make that happen!

Sala Thai 

$10–20 per person

A cute Thai place located in midtown Oklahoma City, Sala Thai is an exciting change in pace. The iced Thai tea is made fresh and their drunken noodles are to die for. It’s a truly cozy place that is perfect before prom. Dine in with your date, surrounded by gold accents and Thai culture. 

Casa De Los Milagros

$10–20 per person

This Mexican restaurant feels like you are entering a fairyland. Walking in, you experience the real Mexican atmosphere surrounding the restaurant. Grab yourself a horchata and order the best spicy food such as their chicken tortilla soup. Their mock piña coladas are delicious and a great way to refresh yourself before prom. 

Yokozuna 

$20–30 per person

If you are a sushi lover, then this place is for you. The venue is so fancy and great for pictures. You can get fire sushi and amazing ramen to pair it.  Their menu consists of sushi that contains mangos to classic New York rolls. So if you want something different or just Japanese-style food, this place is for you. 

Charleston’s

$20–30 per person

Want a candlelight dinner for you and your date? Charleston’s will make it happen. Order your favorite Italian dish. Charleston’s has a very dimly lit atmosphere, where you can have a one-on-one conversation with your date without any distractions. The Firecracker Shrimp is exquisite and a must-try! 

Red Rock Canyon Grill 

$20–25 per person

This restaurant has a fabulous view of Lake Henfer  to entice your date. You can order the stuffed poblano pepper to start up, and then go for their famous roasted chicken. End things with the key lime pie as dessert for the amazing dinner. You can get a pretty view, amazing food and top-notch service for a decent price. 

Sparrow Modern Italian 

$30-50 per person

This place is for the people who really want to go all-out for prom. Sparrow has an excellent atmosphere and the Italian  cuisine is magnifico. Their extensive menu has many things to offer like their 100-layer lasagna and Shrimpy Spicy Lumache.
